Carol Anne Been, Chair of Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, Sees Continued Growth in 2008

Already in 2008, we are proud of the substantial expansion of our IPT group with a national electrical, telecom and medical device patent practice based in Dallas.  The addition of Jerry Welch and his colleagues complements our experience and existing clients' needs as we continue to expand the breadth and depth of our IPT practice.

This growth follows our focus our life sciences practice in 2007, with major additions of biotech, clean  tech and ag biotech practices touching several of our offices, including Dallas, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, New York and St. Louis.  In 2008, we also plan to grow our trademark, copyright and advertising practice with additional national and global clients and practices.

We will continue to develop exciting new initiatives for key technology companies and institutions in protecting their core patent assets, and to work on key branding, marketing and content issues for prominent national brand owners and industries. As always, we provide our clients with a full range of intellectual property services in step with the ever-changing legal and legislative environment, as well as skilled strategists who understand our clients' business needs and work together to position our clients for offensive and defensive advantage in their competitive environments.
