21st Century Health Information Act of 2005

On May 10, 2005, Representatives Tim Murphy (R-PA) and Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) introduced the "21st Century Health Information Act of 2005" (H.R. 2234) that would authorize the Secretary of Health and Human Services to make available grants for health information technology. The purpose of the grants is to develop "interoperable regional health information networks and
