02-20-2008	John L. Snyder Named Head of Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association's Real Estate Committee John L. Snyder recently was appointed the Real Estate Law Chair of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA). This committee considers the law and procedures pertaining to real property and promotes its fair and just administration; studies and reports to the KCMBA Board of Directors any proposed, necessary or desirable legislation; and promotes legal education of members of the Bar and public on real property law.
03-31-2008	Commercial Real Estate Women's St. Louis Chapter Honors Jennifer Marler with Deal of the Year Award The St. Louis chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) presented its Deal of the Year Award to five individuals, including Sonnenschein partner Jennifer Marler, at its Third Annual Networking Awards Luncheon in February 2008. The five CREW members worked together on a complicated construction loan and tax credits for a 256-unit multifamily property. Jennifer provided legal counsel to document the transaction.

12-14-2007	Mark Mehlman Elected President of ACREL, Honored by Who's Who Legal Sonnenschein partner Mark Mehlman has been elected president of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) for 2008. ACREL is a non-profit organization composed of more than 950 attorneys that devotes its efforts to improving the practice of real estate law and enhancing the professional knowledge of its members. In addition, Mark recently was listed in the 2008 edition of Who's Who Legal - Real Estate, an international directory of leaders in real estate law.

Marler is recognized for her exceptional level of networking (and business deals) among women in commercial real estate. She is credited for incorporating these professionals into numerous transactions across the country while retaining a significant leadership role in all matters.
