Jenny Marler Named to "40 Under 40" List  Sonnenschein Real Estate Partner Jennifer Marler was profiled in the St. Louis Business Journal's annual "40 Under 40" list, which is selected by a panel of Business Journal editors and former winners and is based on her career achievements and community work. Gary Goodman Elected to Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate Executive Committee  Sonnenschein real estate partner Gary Goodman was recently elected to the 2010 Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE) executive committee and will serve as Director of Legal & Tax. AFIRE, a not-for-profit association of international real estate investors with headquarters in Washington, D.C., was founded in 1988 with strong support from Dutch pension funds. German investment firms now constitute the largest nationality of investors. While inbound investment into the U.S. remains the members’ common bond, their portfolios have become increasingly global in scope. Rudolf Beese Elected President of the Construction Law Section of the Kansas Bar Rudolf H. Beese was recently elected to serve as the 2009-2010 President-Elect of the Construction Law Section of the Kansas Bar Association. The purpose of the Construction Law Section of the Kansas Bar Association is to plan and promote education programs; support and recommend legislation; distribute information through newsletters, bulletin boards, or other means of communication; and provide networking opportunities for construction law practitioners. Real Estate Lawyers Elected to ACREL  Sonnenschein attorneys Jana Cohen Barbe and Gary Goodman have been elected to the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL). ACREL is the premier organization for real estate attorneys, and membership is by invitation only. Lawyers are elected not only for their legal abilities, experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct, but also for the contributions they make to the real estate and legal professions through their practices, legal writings and public speaking.
