Airport Siting & Expansion

Our lawyers have assisted airports throughout the country in securing FAA and other agency approvals of airport projects. Examples of these successes include the Philadelphia International Airport expansion (new terminals and relocation of airport access highway) and the San Jose Norman Mineta International Airport expansion (new runway and terminals). Typically we deal with FAA officials in the Airport District Office, the Region, and in the Washington, D.C. Headquarters, assisting with compliance with NEPA and related environmental and historic preservation laws. We have also served as environmental counsel in a case involving closure of a former military airport and conversion to a multi-modal transport and manufacturing facility.
