Katherine Funk will discuss the antitrust issues that may arise as news reporting adversaries combine resources. Others participating in the workshop include representatives from print, online, broadcast, and cable news organizations; academics; consumer advocates; bloggers; and new media, as well as government officials.
On March 10 at 2:30 p.m. ET, Ms. Funk will co-present "Competitor Collaborations to Aid Journalism," discussing the ability that companies currently have to collaborate and whether there is a need to give news companies an "antitrust exemption" to enable their survival.
