Sonnenschein Adds Corporate Attorney John Storz in New York

(NEW YORK, February 21, 2008) — Corporate attorney John F. Storz has joined the New York office of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP as a partner in the national law firm’s Corporate Practice Group.  Storz focuses on financial restructurings, distressed debt, and counseling hedge funds and other institutional investors.  He will also contribute to the firm’s non-bankruptcy transactional and financing work.  Storz comes to Sonnenschein from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.

“John’s ability to handle the corporate aspects of bankruptcy and distressed company matters, as well as his growing practice in the hedge fund arena, will truly enhance the work we do for our clients,” said Paul A. Storz has served as lead corporate counsel to numerous official and informal creditors’ committees in Chapter 11 reorganizations and out-of-court restructurings, and has represented several companies upon their emergence from Chapter 11 proceedings.  He has also been involved in a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, going private transactions, venture capital, strategic alliances and securities offerings.  His clients include various public and private companies in the manufacturing, healthcare and technology sectors.

Storz received a J.D. degree from the University of Richmond School of Law and a B.B.A. degree, cum laude, from Adelphi University.
