Sonnenschein Adds Attorney Lezlie B. Willis in Dallas

(DALLAS, April 28, 2008) - Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP announced today that Lezlie B. Willis has joined the national law firm’s office here as an of counsel in its Taxation Practice. Willis previously worked at Fish & Richardson P.C. and Meadows, Collier, Reed, Cousins & Blau, L.L.P.
“Along with Todd Welty and other recent additions, Lezlie will be instrumental in growing our tax litigation and white-collar practice in Dallas,” said Matthew D. Orwig, managing partner of Sonnenschein’s Dallas office and former U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Texas. “More than 20 of the best and brightest attorneys in the state have joined Sonnenschein’s Dallas office since the first of the year. Willis has a broad practice that includes representing individuals and entities in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, such as the Internal Revenue Service and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. She has extensive experience defending all types of complex white-collar criminal cases, as well as related civil litigation and administrative proceedings. In addition, Willis has conducted corporate internal investigations and has assisted business entities in developing compliance programs.

Willis received a J.D. degree, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Indiana University School of Law. She received a B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Indiana University.
