Attorneys Clinton A. Vince and James A. Costan, with 16 colleagues, join the law firm's Public Law & Policy Strategies Group

(WASHINGTON, April 1, 2008) -- Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP announced today that a nationally-recognized group of energy lawyers and policy professionals led by prominent attorneys Clinton A. Vince and James A. Costan have joined the law firm's Public Law & Policy Strategies Practice.  The group, which focuses on energy-related regulation, litigation, transactions and public policy, will be resident in Sonnenschein's Washington, D.C. office.

"Clint and his team have an outstanding practice with premier clients in the energy field," said Elliott I. Portnoy, Sonnenschein chairman.  "Their move to Sonnenschein complements our expertise in the evolving energy industry and illustrates our continued commitment to building practices with quality, high-profile and diverse professionals."

"Clint's and Jay's decades of experience providing clients innovative solutions to their energy-related regulatory, litigation and transactional needs is impressive," notes Mike McNamara, chair of Sonnenschein's Public Law & Policy Strategies Group.  "There are terrific synergies between their practices and our existing group.  It is a perfect fit with our renewable energy, tax credit, public policy and regulated industries practices."

Prior to joining Sonnenschein, Vince was managing partner of the Washington D.C. office of Sullivan & Worcester LLP and director of the firm's energy practice.  Vince's practice involves high profile litigation, major project development, and legislative and regulatory advocacy on behalf of public and private clients.  Costan, also formerly of Sullivan & Worcester, focuses his practice on public utility, oil and gas, and other energy matters, including energy transactions and regulation.

"Our team is delighted to join such a dynamic firm with a proven integrated and collaborative business approach," said Vince.  "The firm's depth and breadth across industries will be instrumental in providing our energy clients a new dimension of service."

Joining Vince and Costan from Sullivan & Worcester is Orlando E. Vidal as partner, Presley R. Reed, Jr. and Travis R. Smith as of counsel, Emma F. Hand, Meredith May Jolivert, and Karen A. Sealy as associates, Douglas MacKinnon as a senior managing director, Elizabeth M. Conway as a managing director, Cathy Fogel and Susan Taylor as senior advisors, and Jessie L.
