Law firm continues aggressive first-year growth of Dallas office
(DALLAS, March 10, 2008)-- Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP announced today that Peg Donahue Hall has joined the national law firm as a partner in its Litigation Practice Group. Hall, who has a wide range of experience in all aspects of products liability and mass tort litigation, will reside in the firm’s Dallas office where she will be reunited with her former colleague and fellow litigator C. Michael Moore with whom she worked at Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP. Moore joined Sonnenschein in January.
“Peg is a dynamic attorney with a tremendous record of success, most recently in the area of high-stakes product liability work,” said Michael H. Barr, national chair of Sonnenschein’s Litigation Practice Group. “This experience, combined with her commitment to pro bono, community service and diversity efforts, makes her a great fit for Sonnenschein.”
A significant part of Hall’s practice is spent representing pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in disputes involving the safety and efficacy of their products. Hall has served as national counsel for a pharmaceutical client in a product liability litigation, defending hundreds of individual claims brought in Texas and Mississippi. She has also defended clients in claims involving both prescription and over-the-counter drugs.
Hall counsels a wide variety of business clients in arbitration and federal and state court proceedings involving contracts, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, false advertising and other commercial law issues. She advises on matters involving federal and state employment statutes and handles employment litigation for clients in several industries. Hall also works to protect intellectual property, litigating disputes involving trademarks, trade secrets, and nondisclosure and non-competition agreements.
“I am very impressed by Sonnenschein’s recent growth, both in Dallas and nationwide, and I am thrilled to be joining the firm. In addition to my many new colleagues, I am equally excited to be working once again with Mike Moore,” noted Hall. “Sonnenschein has also shown a strong commitment to areas that I care so much about, including diversity, pro bono work and giving back to the local communities in which the firm has offices.”
Added Matthew D. Orwig, managing partner of Sonnenschein’s Dallas office, “Peg’s addition to the firm is further proof that Sonnenschein is quickly becoming a major force in the Dallas legal community.”
Hall is actively involved with local business groups. She is a former chairman of the board of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the executive committee and board of directors of the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau. She received a J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law and a B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
