Former Director of Public Policy and Legislative Affairs for the Missouri Department of Economic Development Joins Sonnenschein

Brian Grace is newest member of law firm's Public Law & Policy Strategies Group in St. Louis

(ST. LOUIS, Mo., December 17, 2007) -- Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP today announced that former director of public policy and legislative affairs for the Missouri Department of Economic Development Brian Grace has joined the law firm's Public Law & Policy Strategies Group as a managing director in its St. Louis office.

As the director of public policy and legislative affairs for the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Grace managed the development and implementation of Gov. Matt Blunt's economic policy.  He played a key  role in the passage of the Missouri Quality Jobs Act by the state's General Assembly, leading a coalition of businesses, business advocacy organizations, local governments, and community organizations in a successfully lobbying effort on its behalf.

Previously, he worked as central field representative for Gov. Blunt's campaign team in 2004 and served as a member of the gubernatorial transition team.  Prior to that, he was a registered lobbyist with Harness-Gallagher Governmental Consultants in Jefferson City. 

A native of Jefferson City, Brian received a B.A. degree in political science with an emphasis in business management from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
