Sonnenschein's Patent Litigation Group Adds Two Attorneys in Silicon Valley Office

(Menlo Park, Calif., October 3, 2007) -- Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP announced today that Firasat M. Ali and Jennifer D. Olson have joined the national law firm's Patent Litigation Group in its Silicon Valley Office as an of counsel and an associate respectively. Firasat and Olson join Sonnenschein from the Palo Alto office of McDermott Will & Emery.

Ali has years of experience representing clients in a variety of technologies, including patent litigation and counseling in the areas of electrical and mechanical engineering, biotechnology and pharmaceutical patents. He is a registered patent attorney, licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and has litigated cases before the International Trade Commission. He has also taught patent courses and served as visiting faculty for the Indian Institute of Technology ("IIT") in Delhi, India.

Ali received a J.D. degree from the John Marshall Law School and a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Temple University. Prior to practicing law, Ali was a senior patent engineer for Motorola, Inc. Olson received a J.D. degree from Santa Clara University and a B.S. in biological sciences from University of Southern California.
