Sonnenschein Expands National Public Law and Policy Strategies Team

Addition of Rodney Boyd and Megan Werner in Missouri continues growth
(WASHINGTON, December 11, 2006)—Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP today announced that Rodney J. Boyd has joined the law firm as members of the national Public Law & Policy Strategies Group. He is resident in the firm’s St. Louis office. Also joining Sonnenschein’s Public Law & Policy Strategies Group in St. Louis is Megan L. Werner.

Boyd is a prominent St. Louis attorney who practices throughout the state of Missouri. Most recently, he operated his own government relations and litigation consulting firm. Among his clients are the City of St. Louis, the St. Louis Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners, Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, the St. Louis City Port Authority, HealthSouth Surgical Centers of Missouri, and the Greater Missouri Chapter of the March of Dimes. Boyd will join the firm as a partner.

Boyd previously served as a municipal prosecutor in St. Louis. He is an active member of the Missouri Bar Association and serves on the Board of Curators of Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Boyd also provides pro bono governmental relations consultation for various nonprofit organizations in the St. Louis region.
Werner, who joins the firm as an associate managing director, was most recently a project manager for the Regional Business Council in St. Louis, a consortium of chief executive officers working to promote business, civic and philanthropic initiatives in the region. She previously ran Vision Missouri LLC, a campaign consultancy with an emphasis on fundraising and media relations.
Boyd received a J.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law and a B.S. degree from Lincoln University. Werner received a B.A. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
