D. Louis Glaser Joins Sonnenschein's Expanding Health Care Group

(CHICAGO, November 29, 2005) — Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP announced today that it has further expanded its national Health Care Group with the addition of D. Louis Glaser, who joined Sonnenschein as a partner in its Chicago office. Previously with Gardner Carton & Douglas LLP’s health care practice in Chicago, Glaser is widely recognized as a national authority in transactional health care matters.
Glaser’s practice includes the representation of hospitals and health care systems, pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical device companies, and a host of other health care entities. Glaser represents these entities in the areas of general corporate transactions, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, integrated delivery systems, federal taxation of exempt organizations, Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse and regulatory compliance, and managed care.

Glaser received a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Loyola University of Chicago, a Master of Health Administration with a concentration in finance from Ohio State University, and a B.A. degree from DePauw University. He is admitted to the Illinois bar and is a member of both the American Health Lawyers Association and the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys. He also serves as a board member and vice chairman of the American Cancer Society, Downtown Chicago Division.
