Mathew Lapinski Joins Sonnenschein in DC Office as Managing Director

(WASHINGTON, June 21, 2005)--Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP announced today that Mathew Lapinski has joined the firm as a managing director in the Public Law & Policy Strategies (PL&PS) Group in Washington. He specializes in federal and state legislative, regulatory and public policy advocacy on behalf of corporate, trade association, nonprofit and local government clients.

Prior to joining Sonnenschein, Lapinski held positions in the federal government relations office of the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI), where he represented over 1,000 companies on Capitol Hill on issues including asbestos liability reform, terrorism reinsurance extension and insurance regulatory modernization. Lapinski also served as a federal government relations associate with the healthcare lobbying firm of Jeffrey J. Kimbell & Associates.
Lapinski received a B.A. degree, magna cum laude, in government and history from Georgetown University.
