Our commitment to excellence in serving the public interest is reflected through our pro bono policy.  At Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP, we routinely provide legal access to individuals with limited means, assistance to groups seeking to secure or protect civil rights, or to organizations that wish to further their own purposes.  Our pro bono activities are focused on providing access to the justice system for persons or groups otherwise unable to afford representation.

Our firm was a founding member of the Pro Bono Institute and an early signor of the Pro Bono Challenge.  This challenge commits our attorneys to use their best efforts to ensure that pro bono services equal no less than 3 percent of the firm's total billable hours.  While voluntary, the majority of our attorneys more than exceed their part of this goal.

Through our efforts, the firm has developed lasting relationships with many civic and nonprofit organizations, both nationally and in our individual cities where we have offices.
