The office forms a key part of Sonnenschein’s Hotels & Resorts Global Practice. The office provides trusted counsel to major players in the international hotel and leisure industry, advising regularly on transactions and operations across the UK and Ireland, Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Through daily interaction with the Global Practice Group members in the United States, the Brussels team brings the latest industry thinking to the table, adding value to transactions in which they are involved. With backgrounds in M&A, and in-depth expertise in hotel management contracts, they have applied these skills for the benefit of clients in projects involving the acquisition, development, financing and operation of hotels and resorts across the region. Building on their close interactions with the U.S. practice, the Brussels team has particular expertise in the development and operation of condo-hotels and mixed-use developments, working with developers, owners, operators and lenders to apply best practices to these complex projects within the relevant legal framework.
