Bill's presentation will take place on Wednesday, April 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.  The following points will be discussed:

• Preserving attorney-client privilege when representing both the firm and external clients
   
• Implementing measures to ensure protection of privilege during in-house communications
  • Separating the function of the in-house counsel
     
• Effectively managing unavoidable conflicts of interests
  • Evaluating whether the client or firm's interest will be affected through business transactions
  • Notifying clients when divergent interests are identified
     
• Determining when best to hire outside counsel when a conflict arises or an attorney error is found
   
• Establishing whether an actual or apparent conflict of interest will arise, and to what extent the firm should be excluded
