Victor Boyajian
will moderate two panels at the Investing in Tech Transfer & Early Stage Conference, co-sponsored by Boston University and the International Business Forum, on October 18, 2007 in Boston, MA.
From 9-10 a.m., Victor will moderate "Deal Structures: Partnerships Between the Lab and the Venture Capitalist." Attendees will hear from VC's and laboratory dealmakers on how they identify high-potential spinouts and how they seek to structure the VC-Laboratory relationship, and on the obstacles that must be overcome to develop a successful deal.
Victor also will host "The Spinout Continuum -- From Real Idea to Real Estate" from noon to 1 p.m. Successful transition from laboratory to sustainable commercial enterprise now involves several stages of supported environments including entrepreneurial research laboratories, science incubators, research parks & science cities. This panel will explore the full continuum of supported transitional environments and their impact on the commercialization process.
