Event Description: Sonnenschein partner Sandy McCandless moderated a program entitled "Contempt of Court" at the ABA's National Conference for the Minority Lawyer on June 22 in Philadelphia. Using the backdrop of a unique turn-of-the-century Tennessee case in which the U.S. Supreme Court ultimately ordered the arrest of state officials involved in a lynching, the program examined the role of lawyers in advancing individual rights when faced with bias in the court system.
