Yabo Lin to Co-Chair the Edgar Snow Symposium in Kansas City

Event Description: Sonnenschein partner Yabo Lin will serve as co-chair of programs for the Edgar Snow Symposium, which will take place October 18-19, 2006 at the University of Missouri - Kansas City.  The symposium is titled "Advancing the China/U.S. Partnership in the 21st Century."

The Edgar Snow Symposium panel will discuss the U.S.-China relationship five years after China's accession to the World Trade Organization.  Acclaimed journalist Dan Rather will serve as moderator for the program.  Also scheduled to speak are:
  • Amb. Zhou Wenzhong, People's Republic of China Ambassador to the United States
  • J. Stapleton Roy, former United States Ambassador to the People's Republic of China and current Managing Director of Kissinger McLarty Associates
  • Tong Zhiguang, former People's Republic of China Vice Minister of Foreign Trade 
  • William Reid, Vice President of Visa International

Yabo also will present the introductory remarks at 2:30 p.m. on October 18 to open the afternoon panel discussion, "Five Years After China's WTO Membership and the China/U.S. Relationship."
