Event Description:

This seminar focuses on the lawyer's role as business counselor.  It teaches the participants:

  • How to look at a deal from the client's business perspective
  • How to add value to a transaction by identifying business issues that are buried in the principals' deal

The core of the seminar is a five-prong framework that the participants can use to analyze a business deal and to recognize the business issues.  It is taught first through a brief lecture.  The remainder of the class is devoted to exercises that requrie the participants to apply the framework.
