Event Description:	Sonnenschein is sponsoring the Asia Pacific USA Chamber of Commerce's 2005 Global China Conference. This conference will provide hands-on strategies for beginners and foreign businesses already operating in China to provide definitive insight about how to successfully develop business in today’s China. James Hsu, a partner in Sonnenschein's Los Angeles office, will present "Beginners’ Guide to China" as part of a panel discussion from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. This panel will explain how and why beginner foreign businesses need to fully investigate the market, perform necessary risk assessment and seek experienced advice to avoid stumbling into bad business deals that may result in trade complaints and lost investment. San Francisco partner Kevin Haroff will moderate "Green Energy & Environment Protection," a panel discussion, from 2:10 p.m.-3:10 p.m. Topics will include renewable energy sources, "green" technologies and investment opportunities related to environmental protection. Shelley Spandorf, a partner from our Los Angeles office, will present "Franchising in China" as part of a panel discussion from 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. The presentation will focus on the expansion of fast-food, hotel and retail chains in China.
