"California's Chemical Future"

Event Location(s): Kevin Haroff will be presenting "California's Chemical Future" with moderator Sarah Deifendorf of the Environmental Fitness Center, Region IX, and speakers Dr. Michael WIlson, UC Berkeley, School of Public Health, and California Assemblywoman Wilma Chan at the Western Regional Pollution Prevention Network's Annual Conference. 

This presentation will take place at the Granlibakken Conference Center (South Tahoe Lake) from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

The session will provide an overview of chemical production, use, human and environmental impacts and policy responses in California as well as a review of the new European chemical policy known as REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorization of Chemicals).  Mr. Haroff will specifically address issues associated with REACH.
