Ms. Marler is the Managing Partner of Sonnenschein’s St. Louis office, having previously served as the Practice Group Leader for the firm’s Global Real Estate Practice. Ms. Marler also maintains an active national real estate finance and development practice.
Representative Experience
During the past few years, Ms. Marler has represented lenders on loan transactions involving significant projects across the country, with particular expertise on construction lending and projects that involve public incentives. Most recently, she represented the developer of a marquis mixed-use property, leading the legal team to structure the equity joint venture, development of luxury condominiums in a landmark historic residential tower, and management of a 340-key luxury hotel.
Ms. Marler’s broad experience in finance and development transactions allows her to offer a comprehensive perspective on the ownership, development, and financing of real estate to lenders, developers, owners, and other users of real estate. She is a frequent speaker at national real estate industry events and was recently honored by the national Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Network as the first recipient of its Achievement of Excellence Award for her efforts to advance the success of women in real estate, and as one of the “20 Under 40” national women in commercial real estate.
Most recently, Ms. Marler was recognized as one of the St. Louis Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” and also recognized by Real Estate Forum as one of the “Most Influential Women in Real Estate”.
