Ms. Parker is a member of the Litigation Practice representing clients across a range of substantive areas, including copyright, trademark and media law, as well as insurance, employment and other contractual disputes.
Selected matters include the representation of:
- major news media figure in breach of contract and tort action;
- news organization at trial in trademark and domain name dispute;
- media company in defamation action;
- insurance company in appraisal and litigation to determine insurers’ liability in the wake of the 9/11 attacks;
- homeowners’ insurance company in class action;
- apparel company in trademark and unfair competition action.
In addition to her significant trial, deposition, discovery and motion practice experience in both state and federal court, Ms. Parker also advises and counsels clients on intellectual property matter in various industries.
Ms. Parker also has experience as a journalist. She has worked as writer and producer at WPIX, for the WB11 News at Ten, and for News12 Long Island. She has interned at ABC News, for World News Tonight and 20/20, and at MSNBC, for the Abrams Report. She also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the weekly newspaper, the Harvard Independent and as Articles Editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and the Arts.
