Mr. Lennard practices in the field of complex commercial litigation, concentrating in the defense of class actions. He has defended corporations in over 200 class actions brought by consumers, limited partners, insureds, customers and service providers in more than 35 states on such subjects as the FCRA, credit, discrimination, after-market parts, diminished value, medical review, ERISA, airborne shipping, life insurance sales practices and natural disasters.
Mr. Lennard has been engaged in extensive counseling of corporations on how to avoid class action liability. He has spoken before numerous trade associations and national class action conferences regarding class action defense, insurance, aggregate damages, credit litigation and class action avoidance.
Mr. Lennard has regularly served as national coordinating counsel for companies and has handled many situations involving coordination of multiple individual and class actions in state and federal courts. Further, he has appeared before the MDL Panel on a number of occasions.
