Mr. Finberg is a member of Sonnenschein’s Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, focusing on intellectual property disputes and complex commercial litigation. He serves as counsel in patent, trademark, trade dress and copyright litigation through the Eastern District of Virginia as well as other federal courts. He represents both branded and generic pharmaceutical companies in patent litigation matters in Virginia and other states. Mr. Finberg has significant first-chair jury and bench trial experience, as well as appellate experience before the Supreme Court of Virginia and several U.S. Courts of Appeal.
He was law clerk to the Hon. Robert E. Payne, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Virginia, 1992–1993. Prior to joining Sonnenschein, he was with LeClairRyan.
